H1B visa stamping in the passport is needed for a foreign national to enter or reenter the United States as an H1B worker. In other words, visa stamped on your passport is the authorization to enter into United States. For a U.S. consulate to issue H1B visa stamp in your passport, the passport must be valid for 6 months after the expiration of a U.S. visa. The re-stamping can be done at any U.S. consulate out side of United States.
