If appropriately approved, your SEVIS record will be terminated as an authorized withdrawal. You will receive a new I-20 and SEVIS registration when you are ready to resume your study. If you want to return to school in the United States after a break of more than five months, it is necessary to reapply for a visa at the U.S. consulate. You need a valid I-20 from the school and must verify with the school that the SEVIS record is in active status. |
