New I-129 / I-539 Filing Address at CSC or VSC for Direct Filing Procedure Effective on April 2, 2007

4/3/2007

Dr. William:

My employer is going to mail out H-1B visa application for me under the 2008 H-1B cap. I just heard the USCIS' new I-129  filing procedure. Please confirm this and provide the correct filing address. How about the Premium Processing Request? Is there anything change for the filing address of Premium Processing filing?

A: USCIS released new I-129 / I-539 filing address at CSC or VSC for direct filing procedure effective on April 2, 2007. The FY 2008 H-1B cap filing must be addressed correctly. There is a 15-day grace period for the wrong address filings. But if the H-1B cap number reaches in a few days in April 2007, the wrong address filing can face a serious problem.

If your case will be filed in Premium Processing Request, please also check above web page for the changes in the specific address for each Premium Processing filing, and also read the USCIS direct filing announcement before the filing your H-1B application.
