After April 1, all Applicants Need to
File I-140 Form to the Nebraska Service Center

Dr. William:

I ordered the EB-1 outstanding researcher package from your company, and just begin to prepare my green card application in that category by using your great do-it-yourself package. I was told by a friend that there are some changes by USCIS for filing the I-140 petition after April 1, 2006, but was not sure what they are. I would appreciate it if you could let me know the changes. I look forward to hearing from you.

Answer:

The USCIS announced that after April 1, 2006, all applicants need to file I-140 form with the correct fees to the Nebraska Service Center. There are two different P.O. Box addresses. If you are filing Form I-140 concurrently with Form I-485, the mailing address is:

USCIS Nebraska Service Center
P.O. Box 87485
Lincoln, NE 68501-7485

If you are filing only Form I-140, the mailing address is:

USCIS Nebraska Service Center
P.O. Box 87140
Lincoln, NE 68501-7140
