I plan to file my  I-140 and  I-485 at CSC, and hope to get EAD as quickly as possible for my wife. Do I have to get I-140 petition approval first for the EAD application?

Recently, USCIS CSC confirmed that EAD application with I-485 form filed concurrently with I-140 form will be processed, not depends on the I-140 petition approval. Therefore, the I-140/I-485 concurrent filing is very beneficial for the receipt of the EAD and AP. But other USCIS Service Centers may review an I-140 petition status, before issuing an EAD if the I-140 and I-485 are filed.
